UCD Lochlann Quinn School of Business

This client brief was for a well functioning and smart looking trading room, where the students can learn trading skills. It also had to function as a standard classroom. The challenge was to provide this within the constraints of a university project budget. The project also included study areas and presentation rooms.

Emsworth

The client brief for this project was to design a comfortable, modern family home with contemporary furniture and furnishings.  The challenge was to intergrate the design while respecting the fabric and character of this lovely period house.

UCD Sutherland School of Law

We provided the space planning and specified the furniture for the new 7,000 sq. metre law school. The work involved the selection of furniture to meet the client’s requirements and to compliment the spaces designed by the architects.

Elizabeth Kirby Designers prepared and oversaw the public tender for the loose furniture in conjunction with the client, project managers and quantity surveyors. We also coordinated orders and deliveries and managed the installation on site.

Moloney O’Beirne Architects were the architects for the building. KSN Project Management provided the project management and cost control.

Sandyford Office Fit Out

The programme for the fit out and the modest budget were the main considerations on this 10,000 sq ft. project. The project was carried out over two phases, with the client operating in one half of the building. We worked closely with them to meet their requirements and provide a pleasant and organized working environment.

Research, University College Dublin

This project involved the replanning of the existing offices and entrance reception area to provide for new client requirements.

Donnybrook

The kitchen of this Victorian house was a dark and narrow place. It is now a light filled room even on dark days. This was achieved by the use of rooflights and the enlarging of existing openings. While still a narrow space, the introduction of natural light and the use of a pale colour scheme throughout helped to expand the space.

Beacon Fit Out

The client, an IT security company, wanted a corporate style fit out. Their security and confidentiality is very important. They are a young, vibrant company with a variety of professionals ranging from technical to marketing. All of these considerations had to be accommodated in the layout planning and the design of the fit out.

Rathmines

Prior to the renovation, this house had been lived in by generations of the same family and they had retained all of the original period features. Work was done to repair and maintain these features and the material structure of the house. Contemporary colour schemes and furniture were used to provide a comfortable family home.

Dartry

The renovation of this spacious Edwardian house required the replanning of the ground floor and an extension to the rear as well as extensive work to the landing level of the house. The design for the fit out of the house is calm and modern and in keeping with the client’s requirements.

We worked closely with the architect Aleyn Chambers on this project.

Office Studio

The existing space in this 1970’s industrial building was naturally well lit, airy and pleasant. Our objective was to take advantage of this and revive the building so that it could be enjoyed as a workspace.

Coach House

This coach house was renovated from an existing office to provide living and recreational accommodation for the client and to provide facilities for the adjacent pool. The internal spaces required extensive reorganization. The decoration is simple, allowing the building itself to be the main feature.
